Campervan Roof Nets

Well I was sitting in my van, really getting fed up with looking at the plastic box full up of clothes and not being able to see what I was looking at becasue of a couple of reasons. !0 the plastic box is not transparrent, its a kind of misty colour and although it is slightly see through, its not any good for actually seeing what you have avaiable. 2) I had to have several boxes to split up my clothes to a gym box set of clothes, an every day box of clothes and even a box for dirty clothes. Now the dirty clothes was fine, I didnt have to look in that, so this was not really a problem, but the clothes I wanted to see were all in the misty boxes.

So I started looking on YouTube about storing clothes and eventually I found a guy that was using overhead roof nets to put all his clothes in them

I could see that he had them in place and the clothes were much easier to see but the thing was that they were a little bit saggy and not very stealth from the outside. I thought it was a brilliant idea though, you can actually see all the clothes whilst you are actually lying in bed in the morning before you decide what to wear for the day! Its like having a walk in wardrobe in your van.

I kept on watching more and more roof net videos and eventually came across another guy who had actually used some bungie cords along with this roof net to make it a little less saggy and more stealth like as well.

So ive decided to put the roof nets into the Rav4 for my car camping life as well, you actually need a couple of them for the Rav4 as its quite a long car, but they really do serve a great purpose.

1) Dirty clothes can go at the front of the car
2) Clothes you are going to wear can go in the middle where you can actually see them from your lying down position
3) Gym Clothes go in the back so that you just grab your gym back from the bag as you open the boot

Its actually a great way to use the headroom and the Rav4 has a lot of hooks you can use to attach the 2 roof nets to without having to change a thing to the car itself.
