Ive been around several places in the UK now and I can tell you that public toilets are few and far between. If you put into your Google maps, ‘Public toilet’ it often directs you to a petrol station! Now I have not had a problem yet when going into a petrol station and asking to use the toilet without actually buying anything, so thats great, but what happens if there are no garages nearby, or you are already at your parkup?
I’ve tried the piss bottle route already, and its pretty disgusting. The problem is with weeing into a bottle is that you are still left with a container of piss at the end of the day, or the start of the morning more accurately. So you wake up and there is a bottle of cold piss staring at you and you are thinking to yourself, ‘how the hell am I gonna get rid of this?!’. Is it even legal to pour it out onto a patch of grass near your vehicle? I have no idea, but I think the police would tell you its a massive problem if they saw you do it. How about stuffing it inside your backpack and then putting it down a toilet in the said petrol station? Well, this idea could overflow the toilets system if you’ve been using your piss bottle all night couldn’t it! And what happens if they say, what’s in your bag as you are trying to get into the toilet? They might want to see why you are taking a backpack into the toilet and your have to do the reveal of shame and open up your bag to show them the cold piss!
So I have had enough of my piss bottle and all the trial of emptying it, so I’m stepping things up now, I’ve decided to invest in some urine bags! Yes, they sound delightful don’t they? A bag which is going to hold all my warm piss! Well its not that bad, hear me out, and getting rid of them is not going to be half as bad as trying to empty a piss bottle you’ll be pleased to hear.
These bags actually have some kind of fancy crystals inside of them which act in the same was as cat litter does! It s very absorbent crystal which sucks up all the liquid and turns it into a solid! So down think you are just going to have to deal with a big bag of piss, oh no, these bags are going to be really easy to deal with once they have set into a solid block.
Some of these bags even have handles so that you can get a really firm grip on them when you are using them. I might be upgrading to one of the handle varieties in the future, but for now, I’ve gone for one (well a 12 pack actually) which has a slimmer middle but which allows you to get a firm grip on them. I think they are going to be life savers when you are in need of a wee at like 3am and don’t want to get out of your car. Or, you could even use them if you were stuck in a massive traffic jam as well. I don’t know the laws on this, but for me, id be putting up my window blinds so that nobody could see in when I was doing it.
So im going to post some before and after pics of the bags so you can see exactly what you are going to be dealing with, but in all honesty, have a proper think about these, because do you really want to be dealing with a bottle of cold piss each morning when you are car camping? NO YOU DONT. Im telling you, these bags are a winner.
